Sprouting Stool

The chambers of the old sorceress Winter Woodsong contain many wonders. One of the most curious items is the sprouting stool, which seems to have a mind of its own, and a mischievous one at that. The stool appears normal enough—until one tries to sit on it. At that moment, the seat shoots up in the air, often leaving the sitter stranded high above the floor.

Kendra Kandlestar once sat in the stool and found her long braids brushing the top of the ceiling in Winter Woodsong’s chamber. The old sorceress reprimanded the seat until it shrank back down to a regular height.

“Such are the harzards of visiting a sorceress,” Winter said afterwards.
